Off Their Plate

Role

Creative Lead

Date

March 2020 — June 2021

During COVID, I joined a group of brilliant friends to build Off Their Plate, a 100% volunteer-run economic relief organization working to alleviate community hunger and economic challenges of the pandemic. We raised over $8 million to keep 170 restaurants operational and staffed during lockdowns, and facilitated the delivery of 875,000 hot, nutritious meals to communities experiencing food insecurity in 11 cities across the US. I served as Creative Lead, establishing the full OTP brand book and codifying a logo, color scheme, type system, and aesthetic principles capturing the voice of the organization: hopeful and bold, with a touch of whimsy reflecting the optimism of our work. (Moving food illustrations were created by the brilliant Danny Miller.) Here you’ll find the brand identity expressed across the website design, social, fundraising and outreach materials—and even shouted out by President Obama.
